Welcome to Fellows

We are pleased to announce five new Fellowship appointments from October 2008. Dr Stelios Zyglidopoulos - a Fellow in Management Studies, Dr Theo Hacking - a Fellow in Engineering, Dr Oliver Tonneau - a Fellow in MML (French), Dr Jenny Bryan - a Junior Research Fellow in Classics and Miss Louise Hardwick - a Postdoctoral Fellow in MML (French).

Awards

Alessio Ciulli, a Homerton Junior Research Fellow, has been awarded a Human Frontier Science Program short-term Fellowship at Yale University in the United States.

Gary Love, currently studying for a PhD in History, has been awarded the George L Mosse Prize for his article entitled "What's the Big Idea?: Oswald Mosley, the British Union of Fascists and Generic Fascism" which was published in the July 2007 issue of the Journal of Contemporary History.

Homertonian Olympian

We acknowledge with pride our very own Homerton Olympic heroine, Clare Rustad, who played for the Canadian Ladies Football Team at Beijing this year - a far cry from her Cambridge Masters degree in epidemiology and her work at the Centre for HIV and AIDS in St Paul's Hospital, Vancouver. Three years ago she won her Blue playing in the University Women's Football Varsity Match.
