As we are not a city centre college, we are fortunate to have very large grounds with beautiful landscaped gardens and we are privileged in having all facilities on a single site. As Cambridge is a small city, getting around is usually best by bicycle, but there are also excellent bus links to the centre and the railway station is only a short walk away. Full and part-time Higher Degree students who wish to bring their car can also apply to park at the College.
We have tennis and squash courts and sports pitches for football, cricket and hockey etc. Students also have access to the Hills Road Sports Centre, which is situated next to the College and offers a range of indoor activities, such as badminton and basketball, as well as a gym.
There are excellent opportunities to pursue music and drama. Students have access to several music rooms and a dance studio, as well as making use of the well equipped auditorium. Our Music Society runs an orchestra and choir and HATS (Homerton Amateur Theatrical Society) is the student run drama company.

We provide dining facilities in the Hall and a cafe in the Buttery. The Hall offers a variety of menus, including meat and vegetarian options, which are prepared and cooked daily and the Buttery provides sandwiches and snack items.
Unlike most Cambridge Colleges, Homerton does not have a compulsory Kitchen Fixed Charge. Instead, the Residency Agreement covers a Minimum Meal Contribution charge, which is added to your University ID Card at the start of term. Only the cost of meals are then deducted from it, with a 10% discount for card holders when buying food on site.
Students can also make use of the shared kitchens in their accommodation area.
Every Tuesday during term-time, we have more formal meals known as Formal Halls. There is waiter service of a three-course meal, which is served by candlelight. These are a great opportunity to mix with students and Fellows of the College and to entertain friends from other Colleges.
