Interviewees' Comments

Each year we ask interviewees to complete questionnaires regarding the interview process, which are returned to us anonymously. Here are some of the responses we received:

How did you feel after leaving your interview?

'I felt very happy and relieved. I enjoyed the fact that they were more conversational than grilling'

'Quite positive - the interviewers really try to put you at ease'

'More positive than I had expected but still with some nasty moments of flashing back to awful things I said!'

'Satisfied with the content and methods. It made me think about what was said and the way I handled it. There was some uncertainty but this was because I was challenged in things unfamiliar to me.

'Maybe allow more time for the subject interview, as your involvement in the subject is difficult to get across in half an hour'

'Good, I was made to feel comfortable and was able to express myself without worry'

'Very well, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!'

'Good. A positive experience'

'Pleased with how it went, the interviews were very friendly...would have liked a longer subject interview'

'Questions were worded a bit weirdly'

'Although the interview did not go as well as I expected, I feel very happy and positive about this experience'
