Leaving a Legacy to Homerton College
For more than two hundred years, legacies have helped fund teaching at Homerton. Recent bequests by Alison Shrubsole, Hilary Shuard, Joan Simms and others have empowered the College in its core activities of teaching, education and research. They are a most important means of augmenting the endowment and meeting future needs. To expand its support to students, the College encourages Homertonians to provide for a legacy in their Will.
If you wish to make a donation and would like to discuss any aspect with us, please contact the Development Office, either by email at: firstname.lastname@example.org or on 01223 747270 or 01223 747280.
Under charity law, charities are not permitted to refund donations, other than in specific circumstances. The Charities Act 2011 is the relevant legislation.
However, if you need to speak to us about a refund, please contact us within 7 days of making the donation, either by email to email@example.com or by telephone on 01223 747280, and we will be glad to discuss the case. If the provisions of charity law are satisfied, and the donation is returnable, we will refund the donation within 7 days of receiving the written information we will request from you in order for us to lawfully return your donation.
