IT: Managed Cluster Service (MCS)

The Managed Cluster Service (MCS) is for the use of staff and students of Cambridge University. Homerton College provides 26 MCS computers, for Homerton Staff and Students, located in the Lower Computer Room in the Cavendish building, the Library and in selected supervision rooms. These PCs (Windows/Linux) and Apple Macintosh computers run a wide range of software, together with printers (Colour A4 printer in the Library and Mono A4 in the Lower computer room) and scanners(library). The MCS machines provide access to the Desktop Services central filestore (known as DS-Filestore).
