Today, the University of Cambridge has launched its #BreakingtheSilence campaign to promote zero tolerance of sexual misconduct. This campaign focuses on prevention, reporting and support for those who've been affected by sexual harassment or assault. As this is such an important initiative we were keen to create our own video highlighting what support and resources are available at Homerton College for our students and staff. This video features Olivia Norris and Oscar Wilson (Welfare Officers for the Homerton Union of Students or HUS), Miranda Hewkin Smith (HUS President), Emma Themba (HUS Office Manager), Gordon Murray (Head Porter), Catherine Snelson (College Counsellor), Amanda Drummond (Personnel Officer), Penny Barton (Senior Tutor), and Geoff Ward (Principal of Homerton College). In addition to those points of contact featured in this video, the College Porters' Lodge is a 24-hour safe space, we have a large provision of in-house counselling and a College nurse. Should you need to talk to anyone about sexual harassment or assault, or if you're affected by the contents of this video, you can contact someone via the College intranet. The HUS Office is also open each day if you'd like to drop in for a chat. The University have also provided an online resource which can be accessed here - #CambridgeforConsent #DisrespectNobody #MeToo
