Abigail Rokison is Director of Studies for Education with English and Drama years 1 and 2, and lectures in Drama for the Educational Faculty. Her research interests are in Shakespeare and Renaissance drama, in particular current theatrical approaches to the performance of Early Modern Plays. I run the Drama in production courses for Prelim and Part 1 of the English and Drama with Education course, and lecture on Dramatic Literature at Prelim level, Shakespeare at Part 1 and Contemporary Drama at Part 2. I also supervise Shakespeare and Shakespeare in Performance for the English faculty and co-convene the Graduate Drama Seminar. Before entering academia I was a professional actress, working in theatre, film and television. I am currently working with the Pleasance Theatre in London to devise a series of platforms and lectures. I am also Visiting Professor in Elizabethan Drama at the Insitut Catholiue Etudes Superieurs in La Roche sur Yon, France. |
