Dr Bogdan Roman is an Academic Fellow and Director of Studies in Computer Science and a Research Fellow in the Digital Technology Group of the Computer Laboratory. His departmental webpage is http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~abr28/ His research interests lie in the design, analytical modelling and hardware implementation of cross-layer wireless schemes with an emphasis on scalability, efficand iency and harsh conditions, and a particular interest in the usage of multi-carrier systems and OFDM techniques for higher level applications. He is also interested in probabilistic and Markov analysis of randomized algorithms and queueing systems, with a keen eye towards exact analytical models. More recently he has been looking at white spaces applications and indoor location systems in conjunction with software defined radio, following an award from Microsoft Research for his PhD research. |
