David Clifford

David Clifford directs studies for all English Tripos students at Homerton. His primary teaching and research areas are on 18th and 19th century literature, the history of science and scientific ideas, international literature, the contemporary novel, and world cinema. His book Reform, The Novel and the Origins of Neo-Lamarckism is due to be published by Ashgate Press next year. His previous publications include Volume V, an annotated anthology of primary texts on Fauna, in Pickering & Chatto's Literature and Science 1660-1834 series(2004). He is also co-editor of two collections of essays, Outsiders Looking In: The Rossettis, Then and Now (Anthem Press, 2004) and Sidelined Sciences? Shifting Centres in Nineteenth-Century Scientific Thinking (Anthem Press, 2005).
