David Black is a Fellow in Music at Homerton College. He gained a PhD at Harvard University in 2007 with a dissertation on Mozart's sacred music, and was previously a Junior Research Fellow at Homerton. Dr. Black's research interests include J. S. Bach, Mozart, musical archaism, and twentieth-century English music. He has presented at conferences of the Royal Musical Association, American Musicological Society and International Musicological Society, and his work has appeared in the Mozart-Jahrbuch, Acta Mozartiana and Journal of the American Musicological Society. In 2009 he founded the Charter Choir of Homerton College, which premièred a new work by Peter Maxwell Davies the following year. Online CV |
