Unai is a Fellow at Homerton College. As an economist he is the Director of Studies in Economics and Land Economy at Homerton. Unai also lectures in the Land Economy Department (University of Cambridge). He obtained his BA in Economic Development and International Trade in the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies (Basque Country University). He then obtained an MSc and a PhD in Environmental Economics from the University of York. Prior to coming to Cambridge, he was a lecturer (2001-2003) at the School of Economic Studies (The University of Manchester). Unai is exploring issues in the economics of the role of biodiversity in the productive potential of semi-natural habitats, land degradation in slash-and-burn tropical agro-ecosystems and the link between rural poverty and non farm labour diversification strategies. |
