The Library is available 24 hours 7 days a week to students and staff with authorised access cards.

Homerton College Library is a modern, well stocked, open-plan facility covering most academic subjects. We have an extensive collection of periodicals as well as a number of other special collections, the most notable of which are the Children's Literature Collection and the Multimedia Collection (with CDs and printed music - sets of parts are available for hire). The College library aims to provide material supporting undergraduates taking Part 1 of the Cambridge Tripos.
Loans, using the University smart card or appropriate library card
- 15 items maximum.
- Items are issued for 14 days.
- Items currently on loan to another reader can be reserved.
- Loan renewals by email, telephone, or at the Library self-issue screens for items not overdue by more than 5 days.
- Longer loan periods are provided over the holidays.
- Fines may be charged in cases where specific recall notices are ignored.

Newton catalogue
Homerton is also a contributor to the University Library (UL) catalogue known as NEWTON. NEWTON is the online catalogue for the libraries of the University, including Cambridge University Library and its dependent libraries, and most faculty, departmental and college libraries. Two Library photocopiers are situated on Floor 1 (there are also photocopiers in the IT Department and the HUS Office). All are operated by pre-purchased non-reusable cards. The cards are sold at the Porter's Lodge for £5, giving around 70 copies.
