Open Days 2018
We'd be delighted to see you. This is the best way to find out more about the College, and we welcome visits from all potential applicants. The ideal way to do this is to come to one of our Open Days, when you will be able to meet the Admissions Staff and current Homerton students. We're happy for these to be attended by individuals or by groups from schools and colleges. Details of our Open Days can be found below.
If you are unable to attend one of the Open Days, but would like to visit the College, arrangements can be made for you to come to see us at other times; please do get in touch. We are also always pleased to visit schools in response to invitation, when we can meet teachers and groups of potential applicants.
Homerton's students are also very willing to answer any enquiries you may have about the college from a student's perspective. The Homerton Union of Students (HUS) has its own website and one of its officers will respond to email enquiries sent to email@example.com.
Booking a Place
Open Days in 2018 will take place on the following dates:
Saturday, 28 April: Mathematics Open Day (10am - 1pm at Homerton College and 2pm - 5pm at Faculty of Mathematics)
This Open Day for prospective Mathematics applicants is organised by the Faculty and focuses specifically on the Mathematics course. Most Colleges hold dedicated Mathematics Open Days to coincide with this. You will be able to visit Homerton College in the morning and the programme will include a talk by our Director of Studies in Mathematics, a tour of the College by some current Mathematics students as well as the opportunity to chat to them over a light sandwich lunch. In the afternoon you will have the chance to visit the Faculty of Mathematics to attend one of the sessions consisting of short lectures intending to give you an idea of what it is like to study mathematics at a higher level.
Places for this Open Day must be booked at least two weeks in advance. Please use the link on the right of this page to complete an online booking form to attend the Mathematics Open Day at Homerton College in the morning. We will contact you with further details at least two weeks in advance of the event.

Thursday, 5 July and Friday, 6 July: Cambridge Open Days – All subjects (9am - 5pm)
Our own College Open Days on Thursday, 5 July and Friday, 6 July work in tandem with the Cambridge Open Days. Homerton is just a 10 minute walk from the railway station and so a great place to start your visit to Cambridge. An ‘Applying to Cambridge’ talk will be offered during the early part of the morning to give an overview of the University and the application process (as given centrally at various sites as part of the Cambridge Open Days). Afterwards, we will hold a Q&A session with our Senior Tutor, Admissions Tutors and some of our Directors of Studies. For those wanting to find out more about Homerton, there is the opportunity to stay and take a guided tour of the College with some of our current students. This still leaves time for taking advantage of all that the Cambridge Open Days have to offer during the afternoon including sample lectures, demonstrations, Faculty/Department tours and time to drop in to other colleges should you wish to.
Whilst it isn’t essential to book to visit Homerton, we ask that those wishing to attend our talks on Thursday, 5 July or Friday, 6 July complete an online booking to assist with our planning for the events. Any visitor wishing to make the most of their visit to Cambridge by taking part in the Cambridge Open Days must book online via the Cambridge Admissions Office. The booking system is available here: http://www.study.cam.ac.uk/undergraduate/events/opendays/cambridge/.
