There are certain requirements which offer holders for Veterinary Medicine are asked to meet before commencing their studies, as outlined in your offer letter and supporting documents.     

To assist you with the process, please have a look at the table below for further details about what is required from you, the all important dates and deadlines and how to submit the completed form and information.

If your offer is for deferred entry, you will need to send the completed documents and undergo the necessary checks in 2025 rather than in 2024.

Occupational Health Form for Prospective Veterinary Medicine students:

Complete and return the required Veterinary Student Health Assessment Form (OHF16) directly to Occupational Health Service to reach them by the deadline of Friday, 29 March 2024.

The form was attached to the email sent to you with your offer letter. It is also available under 'Downloads' on this page.

If you have any questions about your Health Form, please direct them to Occupational Health.

(To note: Prospective veterinary students only need to complete the Veterinary Student Health Assessment Questionnaire, there is no immunisation record required).

 Disclosure and Barring Service check: 

Students are not required to undergo a DBS check for entry to the Veterinary Medicine course. However, students are often required to undergo a standard DBS check on entry to their first veterinary job.
