Printing

Overview

Students can pay to print, copy and scan in the Library using the University's Managed Print Service. (Fellows have their own dedicated machines which are not located in the Library.) Black and white printing and photocopying costs 5p per A4 page, colour 25p per A4 page.

Desktops

There are 13 University Managed Desktop (UMD) computers available for use in the Library on a first-come, first-served basis. The UMD, as well as the printers and Wi-Fi (Eduroam), are centrally operated by the University Information Service (UIS). Login into UMD with your university Microsoft account, and use your UCAM card to log into the printers. See also the Homerton College IT & printing page.

Printing

Follow printing instructions on the UIS website. We have also created quick how-to videos on how to print from the Library UMDs, how to print from anywhere, using Webprint, and how to add credit to your account.

Photocopying

To photocopy, log in to an MFD by tapping your University card on the front and select the “Copy” function. Remember to adjust the settings to suit your needs (including colour or black & white) before you start copying: for instance, you can select how many copies and what size (A4 or A3) you would like printed.

Scanning

To scan, select the “Scan” function. Tap the little grey box that says “E-mail: Me” (this will make it send the scan to your cam.ac.uk email address), adjust the settings to suit your needs, and then scan in your documents. Scanning is free!

Wi-Fi

The Library, like the rest of Homerton College, is an Eduroam Wi-Fi zone. You must be on Eduroam to use many University services such as Webprint.
