Term dates

All students are required to keep full term, which means students must be resident in Cambridge for the entirety of term time. Find below the upcoming term dates for the next three academic years.

Travel days

Travel day is a day at the end of full term where the majority of people are expected to leave their rooms for the vacation.

 

Graduations

Graduation ceremonies, for undergraduates, take place usually near the beginning of July, when all results have been released. Timings differ for other degrees, more information can be found on the documents on this page.  

Congregation Dates 2023-2024

Homerton graduands may be presented in absentia at any congregation held at Senate House but may only be presented in person on specified dates. Upcoming dates are below:

* These are in-person, and guests are premitted in the Senate House. All events are subject to changes/cancellation in accordance to any changes in guidelines.

Subject Dinners

Subject Dinners are designed to bring together all students in the College in a particular discipline, from first year undergraduates to final year PhDs, together with their Directors of Studies and Supervisors, other Fellows in that field and guests, who may be formal visiting speakers or alumni. The dinners are free of charge (students can only attend the dinner relating to their subject area) and typically take place in the Michaelmas and Lent Terms. The Senior Tutor’s Office will be in touch with students with an invitation to their dinner and booking instructions. Please see the downloads section for a copy of the dates for 2023/24.
