Catalyst Fund Development Day I - Not your regular hackathon: Microplastics, A Human Problem

Plastic pollution is a huge threat to the Earth’s oceans.  Microplastic contamination affects the deep sea, arctic ice, and the wellbeing of marine creatures. However traditional approaches have failed to analyse the scale of the problem, and even cutting-edge science struggles to deal with the contamination caused by microplastics. Consequently, there is an urgent need for innovative solutions with potential for a world-changing impact.

Join us for an engaging interdisciplinary hackathon to engage in group discussions facilitated by industry mentors from TTP and collaborate with others to diagnose the problem and develop creative solutions. This event is led by industry mentors from TTP and is jointly organised and supported by Homerton Changemakers and the Homerton Science Society. Open to ALL Students/Alumni and Postdocs from other Colleges/Universities in the region. No coding required! Register Here

2}This is part of the Catalyst Fund Development Day One, one of the pre-launch events.  If you are thinking of applying for the 2025 Changemakers Catalyst Fund (see info from the previous year:  Changemakers Catalyst Fund), attending this session will also help you to achieve the minimum of five hours required. You will also be able to find potential team members for your Catalyst Fund Application from the people you meet at this event!
