The College Student Health Advisor
Sandy Chambers has extensive experience working in primary care as a nurse practitioner and in emergency out of hours medical care settings.
She is an RGN (Registered General Nurse) with MCGI Higher Level Practice, BSC Nurse Practitioner Primary and Nurse Practitioner Diploma, Solution Focused Therapy foundation certificate and JHD Basic counselling skills certificate. She is also a mental health first aider.
Health Advisor services
Sandy offers a confidential service and is available to help with a wide variety of health and welfare needs, ranging from help and advice with minor illnesses and injuries to support for emotional issues. She can supply a range of over the counter medicines and provide solution-focused therapy for students.
An independent mental Health Practitioner also works with a small number of colleges and is available for referrals.

If you cannot find an appointment to suit please email the student health advisor on nurse@homerton.cam.ac.uk as she may be able to find you an alternative appointment. In the notes section please confirm whether you would like a video or in-person consultation.
For in-person consultations, the College Health Centre will continue to follow the NHS guidance on infection prevention and control for seasonal respiratory infections in health and social care settings.
The student health advisor will continue to wear a face-covering appropriate to the activity being conducted and social distancing will be maintained.
