We asked our graduands what advice they would give to future postgraduates planning to study at Homerton. Meet Luke, who has earned a Masters in Education. His area of research focused on the emotional and motivational experience of homework. Read or watch his story below.
What did you study as a postgraduate at Homerton College? I studied Maths Education. I was focusing on the emotional and motivational side of homework, students engaging with homework. What is your favourite memory of your time at Homerton? I think the group sessions, discussing ideas with other students. I think that was definitely the highlight because you get so many people from so many different places and everybody's keen to talk about research and talk about theory, and you can just have great conversations. What advice would you give to any future postgraduates who want to study at Homerton? I think, just go for it! Apply and it will be over before you know it – and it's well worth the experience and the time. |
