The Homerton community is deeply saddened by the news that much-loved Porter Charlie Banwell died yesterday, Wednesday 31 August. He had been receiving treatment for a brain tumour since September 2020, and died at home with his wife and three sons.
Charlie joined the College in August 2015 and was a hugely warm-hearted presence in the Porters' Lodge, supporting and building connections with students and staff alike. He will be greatly missed, and we send our love and condolences to his family.
