Louise said:

"I am so touched to have been nominated for and to have received this honour. It means such a lot to know that students value all that we all do, day in and day out. It is a privilege when a student trusts you enough to open up to you and to allow you in on what they are experiencing. I feel blessed by all that teaching in this amazing system gives me. I feel incredibly lucky to get to do it!”

The SLTAs exist to reward outstanding teaching and student support across Cambridge. This year it received over 400 nominations, which truly is a testament to all the amazing work done by staff and clearly demonstrates the gratitude felt by students.

The shortlist and winners were decided by panels of students, who generously gave up their time for the heartwarming task of reading through all the nominations and the very difficult task of selecting the standout individuals. Winners and highly commended in each of the nine categories were announced on 16 May at a ceremony held at St Barnabas Church.
