NINE NEW Fellows, Bye Fellows and Associate Fellows were sworn-in this week, in a ceremony presided over by the Principal, Lord Simon Woolley, and Vice Principal, Dr Francesca Moore.

Associate Fellows: Olu Orugboh, Dr Julie Blake, Luke Bellingham, Dr Stanley Mims
Rosie Austin
Rosie started at Homerton College in June 2014 as Deputy Librarian, and was appointed as Librarian in 2022. She has a particular interest in children's literature, which is the subject of the library's specialist collection.
Dr Priscilla Day-Walsh
Priscilla is a Next Generation Fellow at the Centre for Trophoblast Research, working in the Departments of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Her key research interests are in understanding how the human gut microbiome can help prevent pregnancy complications. She was the lead organiser of the Big Conversation conference on Fibroids in 2024.
Dr Nino Läubli
Nino joined Homerton in October 2021. The main topic of his interdisciplinary research is the use of microfluidic devices and acoustic manipulation for the study of neurodegenerative diseases in model organisms.
Joe Saxby
Joe completed his undergraduate degree in Mathematics here, and enjoyed it so much that he never left! He went on to teach mathematical biology in the Natural Sciences Tripos to undergraduates. He is a key part of the Tutorial team, and now also manages the Council and Governing Body processes.
Yifan Zhang
Yifan has been an exceptional supervisor, dedicating several years to the academic and personal development of our economics students. He is currently pursuing his PhD, and his research in microeconomic theory, networks and information reflects his intellectual rigor and innovation.
Olu Orugboh
Olu is CEO and co-founder of Black Talent and Leadership in STEM, and CEO of Synergy Solutions. as well as being Chair of CW Cambridge Wireless. As a senior leader with over 20 years of experience, she has assisted a range of companies from start-ups to high-growth scale-ups, to FTSE-listed companies.
Dr Julie Blake
Julie is an innovator in the field of education and literature. In 2012, with Sir Andrew Motion (then Poet Laureate), she was the co-founder of Poetry by Heart, the national school poetry speaking competition. She is a highly respected researcher and writer, and gained a PhD in 2019 from the University of Cambridge.
Luke Bellingham
Luke is an alumnus of Homerton, having completed his PGCE here in 2013. Since then, Luke has worked on several charitable initiatives supporting young people across London. In his role at Hackney Quest, he has overseen a youth-led design program and other activities to empower young people.
Dr Stanley Mims
Stanley has enjoyed a distinguished career in educational leadership and reform. He served as the Dean of Education at Wiley University, and is currently a Senior Advisor for Special Education Leadership with the New York City Department of Education. In the UK, he was invited to join Future Ed, an awarding ecosystem powered by Aspire Education Group.
