About the Library
Homerton College Library is a modern, well-stocked, open plan facility covering most academic subjects. Our main aim is to provide material supporting undergraduates taking Part I of the Cambridge Tripos for all the subjects offered by Homerton, but we welcome all members of the College, including postgraduates, Fellows and staff.
We have a number of special collections, the most notable of which are the Children's Literature Collection and the Multimedia Collection (with DVDs, CDs and printed music – sets of parts are available for hire). All College members can borrow from the Library using their University card. College members can borrow up to 15 items at a time.
There are over 60 work spaces in the Library, with a mixture of large shared desks and individual study carrels situated amongst our open plan shelving on all three levels of our spacious Library. Computer workspaces are provided. There are also a number of comfortable chairs and beanbags in the reading area on the ground floor.
The Library is open 24 hours, 7 days a week. Library staff are available on weekdays from 9am to 5pm.
