We invite you to perform or just come to listen to poems and issues at the Fellows Dining Room, Homerton College. Refreshments will be provided with exhilarating discussions and performances at 7:30pm on 27th April, 2022.

Let your creativity flair while talking about what matters. Let’s talk about something that we have faced or something that we want to change in the society. Change is not possible without recognising the issues. Change the world, in order for it to be a better place to live in.

The event will provide a space for healing, reflection, respectful expression of emotion, and garnering of hope for our students of colour, LGBT students, and all other members of the Homerton Students Community. We aim that this open mic platform will allow conversation to move beyond the surface

This Open Mic Night is intended to be an inclusive event that forges connections between our students and an enthusiastic audience. Our goal is to foster creativity and build a community where participants have an opportunity to speak in a supportive and open environment. We expect to attract people of various ages and experience levels from different cultural arenas.

It is time to speak up because being silent means approval.

Speaking up is an act of humanity.

Email hk516@cam.ac.uk if you have questions or need additional information.

Let's start the term with great ideas and insightful discussions!
