Mr Aaron Westfall

Aaron Westfall brings 20+ years of development experience to his current role as Managing Director of Development at the University of Cambridge, where he is also a Fellow at Homerton College.

In this role, he has management responsibility for development programmes that fundraise on behalf of the University in the £2B Dear World, Yours Cambridge campaign. Previously, Aaron was the Senior Director of Development, Campaign Initiatives, at the University of Michigan, where he led planning for the $1B student support initiative, as well as strategic research initiatives in the overall $4B Victors for Michigan campaign. 

Aaron has deep principal gift and fundraising management experience with an emphasis on business, engineering, life sciences and clinical medicine. He co-founded and taught at the Strategic Initiatives Conference, looking at best practices in fundraising for centres, institutes and initiatives. He is also a presenter for CASE. Prior to Michigan, Aaron was a fundraiser at Northwestern University and the University of Florida Foundation. He began his fundraising career as a student caller at Pennsylvania State University, where he received a liberal arts degree in History.
