Dr Billy Flanagan
Dr Billy Flanagan is a Career Development Fellow at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB). He completed his PhD at Imperial College London, where he developed a 3D imaging microscope for high-throughput studies of cancer organoids at the Crick Institute, as well as a quantitative phase contrast imaging technique. He is now working on a light-sheet imaging flow cytometer, which he aims to use for high-throughput morphological cell assays. More broadly, his research interests focus on developing novel techniques to investigate biological processes, primarily using optical approaches.
