Charter Graduate Awards
The Homerton College Charter Graduate Awards are awarded to selected students embarking on a new course of higher degree study (MPhil, LLM or PhD, including from MRes). Each Award is worth £1,500 per annum for one year (MPhil/LLM courses) or three years (PhD courses). Awards are made on academic merit.
To be considered for an Award, you must:
- Name Homerton College as your first or second choice on your University application form.
- Be made an offer by University of Cambridge Graduate Admissions for your course and accepted by Homerton College for membership.
- Write to Dr Melanie Keene, Graduate Tutor, indicating your wish to be considered for an Award, including a short statement (one page of A4) of your academic/research interests written for a non-specialist audience. A copy of your statement should also be copied to Kelly Collinwood, Graduate Administrator.
- The deadline for applications for the 2019-20 awards is Friday 24 May 2019.
Approximately half of the available Awards will be reserved for existing (matriculated) undergraduate or postgraduate members of the College. Remaining Awards are available to all applicants who fulfil the above conditions.
Eligible candidates for the Thougan Al Hindawi Award of £1,000 for an MPhil student in Education will be drawn from the pool of Charter Graduate Award applicants.
