"Studying HML combines two really broad disciplines, so my advice would be to pursue what interests you without worrying about knowing everything! It’s also entirely up to you whether you think about the subjects separately or combine them. I personally found it helpful to focus on resources where the two intersect, such as documentaries or historical fiction in the target language. Music, films, podcasts and news websites are also all great ways of immersing yourself in a foreign language.
