Who: Year 12 England/ Wales, Year 13 Northern Ireland, S5 Scotland (or equivalent) school students thinking of applying to Cambridge.
What: Free online webinars to help you gain the tools to apply to Cambridge! Sessions include "An Introduction to the University of Cambridge and Homerton College", "How to write a competitive personal statement", and "How to ace Oxbridge written assessments and interviews". Sessions will be followed by a 30-min Q&A with Cambridge students.
When: Online sessions run 3x throughout the year from February 2026.

Who: Year 10 England/ Wales, Year 11 Northern Ireland, S3 Scotland (or equivalent) state school students. Places are limited so priority will be given to students in care/ young carers/ students on Free School Meals (currently or in the last 6 years)/ students with a disability/ students whose postcode is classified as IMD 1/2.
What: A free, online webinar series to help you develop the skills and tools you need to thrive at school and in higher education! As part of the programme, students will produce an essay replying to the question "Is knowledge dangerous?".
When: Online sessions run throughout March with an in-person celebration event in April.

What: Are you interested in learning the skills to plan and write essays in the style of a university student on a topic you are passionate about? The Homerton College Essay Programme is for you! You will gain access to a series of sessions run by academics and students providing the grounding to produce your own essay in response to a choice of questions. After this, those who meet certain criteria will be invited to Homerton College's free student Health & Sustainability Conference!
When: Programmes launches in February, and the in-person conference will run in August.
Who: Year 12 England/ Wales, Year 13 Northern Ireland, S5 Scotland (or equivalent) students thinking of applying to Cambridge.
What: Are you a budding designer, architect or engineer? The Homerton College Design Programme will help you to develop crucial university-level skills and thinking. You will gain access to a series of workshops run by academics and students, providing the grounding you need to produce your own sustainable design solution to any environmental problem that we are facing. After this, those who meet certain criteria will be invited to Homerton College's free student Health & Sustainability Conference!
When: Programmes launches in February, and the in-person conference will run in August.
Who: Prospective Cambridge students in Year 11/12 England/ Wales, Year 12/13 Northern Ireland, S4/S5 Scotland (or equivalent).
What: If you would like to come and visit Homerton College, we run organised tours that are led by our fantastic Homerton student ambassadors.
When: Spring and Summer. Registration is via Eventbrite here.
Who: Year 12/13 England/ Wales, Year 13/14 Northern Ireland, S5/S6 Scotland (or equivalent) UK school students.
What: Run by Homerton College, this new nationwide competition challenges students to think deeply about the sort of questions that we ask at Cambridge. Every three weeks, a new question will be revealed, and teams of up to five students have two weeks to submit a response. Teams can choose whatever form they wish for the response, including posters, videos, podcasts and essays.
When: Starts in October, with questions running throughout the year and an in-person Celebration event in August.

Who: Prospective Cambridge students
What: Subject Focus Sessions involve an introduction to Homerton College from a member of our Admissions Team, followed by a taster session to give you an insight into the subject at undergraduate level. To conclude, there will be a Q&A with current Homerton students. These sessions are open to all prospective Cambridge students.
When: May- September 2026.
Who: Prospective Cambridge students in Year 12 England/ Wales, Year 13 Northern Ireland, S5 Scotland (or equivalent).
What: Come and visit Homerton College on our July and September Open Days! You will get to meet current students, go on guided tours of the college, and meet our Admissions Tutors!

Who: Any prospective student wanting to get an idea of what it is like to study their subject at Cambridge University on a day-to-day basis.
What: Ever wondered what its like to be a student at Homerton College? Perhaps you’re thinking of applying but don’t know what to expect? Some of our students have offered us a glimpse into their daily lives in this video series, so you can get a taste of what life at Homerton is really like, from the students who live here!

Who: Any prospective student wanting to explore their subject in more detail or understand how to apply to Cambridge, such as how to write a competitive personal statement or do well admissions tests or interviews.

For teachers and advisors
Who: For Year 10-12 students and teachers/advisors from state schools in our Link Areas of Buckinghamshire, South Yorkshire and West London.
What: We organise a coach to come and pick up 15 highly-able students and two staff members from four different schools in an area and take them to Homerton College, Cambridge for the day.
We will deliver an all-expenses-paid day including an academic taster session, admissions information session, a student Q&A and tour of Homerton led by current undergraduates, a free lunch in our New Dining Hall, and a tour of Cambridge City Centre!
As places are limited, we will prioritise schools who are most in need of our support and who have not had this opportunity before.

Outreach Buses for Year 12 in the Summer:
22nd June 2026 for West London, 23rd June 2026 for Buckinghamshire, 24th June 2026 for South Yorkshire. Register your interest here now. Deadline: 9am Monday 9th February 2026.
Outreach Buses for Year 10/11 in the Autumn:
5th October 2026 for West London, 6th October 2026 for Buckinghamshire, 7th October 2027 for South Yorkshire. Register your interest here now. Deadline: 9am Monday 6th April 2026.
Who: For students in Years 10-13 (England)/ S3-S6 (Scotland) and teachers/advisors, parents/carers from state schools in our Link Areas of Buckinghamshire, South Yorkshire and West London, and all schools in Scotland.
What: The Outreach Team go out to specific link areas for weeks at a time, on "Schools Tours", where we deliver sessions in host schools for other local schools to attend. This is to make sure we reach as many schools as possible.
When:

- South Yorkshire: 9th to 13th March 2026
- Buckinghamshire: 23rd to 27th March 2026
