Experience life as a student at Homerton

Homerton is one of the newer Cambridge Colleges, yet we have more than 250 years of history behind us. We are at the centre of everything that is new at the University of Cambridge, located in inspirational surroundings, with first-class facilities and an atmosphere quite unlike any of the other Colleges.

As we are one of the most inclusive and diverse Cambridge Colleges you will meet students and staff from all over the world, from many different backgrounds. What unites our community is a passion to succeed and make a positive impact on the world.

If you want to get a feel of what day-to-day life is like at Homerton, the best way is to pay us a visit or take part in one of our open days, events or programmes.

If you are wanting to visit as a school, or are a secondary-school student keen to find out more about our range of university preparation programmes, please see our Homerton College Outreach page.

Upcoming Open Days in 2026:

The next Mathematics Faculty Open Days are:

  • Saturday 2 May
  • Saturday 9 May 2026

Colleges will hold an Open Day on the same day as the Faculty, and the idea is that students will visit a College in the morning, then attend the Faculty Open Day in the afternoon. For further information and to book, please visit the Mathematics Faculty's Open Day.

Homerton College will be open on the morning of Saturday 9 May 2026 and we are looking forward to welcoming prospective Mathematics applicants to Homerton during the morning. Please visit our Mathematics Open Day page for further details and to view the programme.

The next University-wide Open Days are:

  • Thursday 9 July 2026: Undergraduate Open Day (Subject Departments, Colleges and support services will be open)
  • Friday 10 July 2026: Undergraduate Open Day (Subject Departments, Colleges and support services will be open)
  • Friday 11 September 2026: Colleges Open Day (Colleges and some support services will be open. Subject Departments will not be open)

These events are designed for prospective applicants from Year 12, Year 13 (or equivalent) and mature applicants (aged 21 or over), to learn more about the University and Cambridge Colleges.

Booking is essential via the Cambridge Open Days website to ensure you receive an Open Day ticket and all the information you need to plan for your visit. Each prospective applicant can book a ticket for up to one guest. Once a booking has been made, separate reservations to visit Colleges and Departments are not normally required.

Homerton will be open on these dates, and welcoming visitors for our College Open Days. To find out more, please visit our July Open Days page and September Open Day page.
