Please find below a guide to the key dates and deadlines for the admissions process. We advise all applicants to Homerton to very carefully check their email accounts (including junk mail folders) throughout the admissions process to ensure that they do not miss any important correspondence.
A summary of the application timeline
Early September: UCAS Apply opens.
1 September: COPA deadline for Organ Scholarship applicants.
20 September (18:00 UK time): UCAS application, COPA and Transcript deadline for non-EU applicants requesting interview in Malaysia or Singapore.
26 September (18:00 UK time): SAQ deadline for non-EU applicants requesting interview in Malaysia or Singapore.
1 October: BMAT registration deadline for Medicine applicants.
15 October (18:00 UK time): UCAS application deadline.
15 October (18:00 UK time): Pre-interview assessments registration deadline (other than BMAT).
16 October: Application Acknowledgement and Important Information email sent to all applicants to Homerton with a link to the 'Applicant Webpage' outling the next stages of the admissions process, what you need to send and when, as well as other important information to guide you through the application process.
19 October (18:00 UK time): COPA and transcript deadline for non-EU applicants requesting interview in Canada, PR China, Hong Kong, India, the USA (Remote Interview Scheme) or Cambridge.
22 October (18:00 UK time): SAQ and transcript deadline for most applicants.
(Shortly after submitting your UCAS application, you'll be asked via email to complete an online Supplementary Application Questionnaire (SAQ). In order to make a valid application to the University of Cambridge, you must submit your SAQ by the deadline set. In the majority of cases this deadline will be 18.00 (UK time) on 22 October. If you wish to be interviewed in Malaysia or Singapore this deadline will be 18.00 (UK time) on 26 September).
22 October: Deadline for AS and A Level results breakdown / statement.
22 October: Extenuating Circumstances Form deadline.
22 October: Adjustment forms and evidence (if relevant) deadline.
30 October: BMAT taken by Medicine applicants.
30 October: Pre-interview assessments taken in either schools or assessment centres.
(Applicants taking the pre-interview written assessments overseas must check the Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing website as the scheduled start times for international centres may vary. Please note that for some overseas interview locations, 'pre-interview' assessments may take place after your interview. In this situation, your written assessment will still be considered by your Cambridge College along with your overseas interview report).
7 November: Written work deadline (some Arts subjects only)
7 November: Fee Status Assessment Questionnaire deadline (Medicine applicants only)
Late November/early December: Interview invitation reply form deadline for interview in Cambridge
September - December
Overseas interview takes place during these dates depending on location. Please check 'Eligibility and interview dates', via the link provided.
5 - 17 December: The majority of interviews in Cambridge take place, including the at-interview admission assessments. The interview dates and arrangements for each subject will be confirmed closer to the time.
Early January: Winter pool takes place and decisions posted to applicants. A small number of applicants may be asked to attend a further interview.
Mid January: Decisions emailed to applicants (the exact date will be communicated nearer the time). If you receive an offer of a place, we will send your official offer letter and supporting documents by post. You will also be given a link to the offer holders page.
End January: Final decisions to pooled applicants. Most applicants who were interviewed in December should have heard whether they have been accepted conditionally or unconditionally, or have been unsuccessful before the end of January.
A Levels, IB and other examinations taken – including STEP, where required for Mathematics and other applicants.
Examination results published and confirmation of conditional offers for 2020 entry (or deferred entry in 2021) that have been met – all conditional offers must be met by the deadline set by UCAS unless otherwise specified.
Early September: Freshers’ packs emailed to all incoming students.
