Dr Gill Stevens is the Academic Director for Coaching at the Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) at the University of Cambridge.  In this role she has academic responsibility for the Coaching Portfolio of courses delivered by ICE.  Gill is also the Course Director for the newly launched MSt in Coaching which is the latest addition to the ICE suite of coaching courses.

Gill is a professionally qualified coach whose coaching practice and experience span a range of organization levels, generations and cultures; and with experience of designing and delivering coach training programmes for different purposes within different industry sectors.  Gill believes in the benefits that coaching can achieve and is keen to make coaching available to a wider range of people.  She now focuses her coaching work on groups and teams.

Prior to joining ICE, Gill lived and worked in the Philippines for a number of years where she taught various aspects of Human Behaviour in Organisations at the Asian Institute of Management, (AIM) in Manila, Philippines.

Gill gained her PhD from the University of Bristol and the subject of her research was the development of intuition within the context of the management problem-solving process.  Whilst it has been sometime since completing her research, she sees a revival of interest in Intuition, particularly in the coaching world, which she surmises could be due to the emergence and growing popularity in AI.  She believes that intuition is most definitely a human characteristic.
