Cambridge Biology Challenge

Calling all UK Biology Students! January 2024 sees the launch of the brand-new Cambridge Biology Challenge. Run by Homerton College, this new nationwide competition challenges students to think deeply about the sort of questions that we ask at Cambridge. Every three weeks, a new question will be revealed, and teams of up to five students have two weeks to submit a response. Teams can choose whatever form they wish for the response, including posters, videos, podcasts and essays.

Participants on the programme will:

  1. Gain an understanding of the types of question we ask at Oxbridge (including in interviews).
  2. Be part of a nationwide competition, where teams can watch as they climb the leaderboard.
  3. Have access to special Biology webinars hosted by Cambridge University scientists and teaching staff.
  4. Win prizes, including visits to Cambridge.

The programme is open to Year 10-13 England/ Wales, Year 11-14 Northern Ireland, S3-S6 Scotland (or equivalent) UK school students.

To express your interest in this programme, please complete this form. Sign-ups to the programme will be contacted on a rolling basis.
