Homerton College, based on Hills Road and located within a 10- minute walk to the railway station, is an ideal choice for the beginning or end of your trip to Cambridge to join the Cambridge University Open Days on 7 and 8 July and to visit the College.
Visitors are welcome to drop in at Homerton between 9am-5pm on either of the Open Days. We have plenty of friendly students available to show you around the College and grounds, and to answer your questions.
We would also encourage visitors to book in advance for our 'Talk and Tour' option which includes a talk from the Homerton College Admissions Team and one of our Admissions Tutors will be able to answer any questions you might have. If you book on to a 'Talk and Tour' option on 8 July you will also be able to hear from our new Principal, Lord Simon Woolley.
Please find the full Cambridge University Open Days Programme for Colleges here.
On arrival at the College, please make your way to our Registration Desk in the Porters’ Lodge. Please look out for our friendly Homerton Student Ambassadors (wearing bright blue t-shirts!) who will welcome you. Further information on finding Homerton is included below.
You can get to us on foot in 10-15 minutes from the station or in 10 minutes by bus from the centre of Cambridge. There are multiple bus services (Citi 1, Citi 3, Citi 7 and Green Park and Ride) which run from the city centre to Homerton, many via the rail station. A Day rider ticket, which gives all day use of the Citi and Park and Ride services, can be purchased for £4.20. The majority of services stop outside the main gates to the College - look out for the bright red Griffin on the side of our college, along with our Open Day banner, when you arrive! Please see www.stagecoachbus.com for more information.
If you will be driving to Cambridge, you are welcome to park in our Visitors’ Car Park, located at the bottom of Harrison Drive. School groups travelling by minibus or coach are advised to speak to the Admissions Team (email@example.com) in advance to make parking/drop off arrangements.
All booking information for sessions on the Cambridge University Open Day can be found here.
You can also find a range of information, 360-degree photography, articles and videos from all Colleges and departments in the University's Virtual Tour. This is a great way to hear directly from staff and students and provides an insight into the collegiate University and what it’s like to study here.
